Ensuring we have the best possible dental equipment is all part of our commitment to providing first class dental treatment to all our patients.

Whether you are looking for cosmetic dentistry or routine dental work, we believe the quality of the equipment is paramount, and we always have your safety in mind at all times.

In 2007 we took the decision to refurbish the practice using the best possible materials and equipment for our patients’ safety and comfort.

Bob To, who owns the practice, is a perfectionist who believes his patients deserve nothing but the best when it comes to their dental care.

At Deepfield Dental Surgery our top quality equipment includes:

  • A large plasma screen. This enables you to see inside your own mouth from our specially designed camera which is then projected onto the plasma screen. It’s even possible to see the image through either still or moving pictures. Seeing inside your own mouth enables you to see more clearly where treatment may be needed or areas of tartar that need more attention with the toothbrush!
  • A state-of-the-art x-ray machine with digital phosphate based plate. This sounds more technical than it is – it is simply a machine that makes having an x-ray so much more comfortable. It also allows you and your dentist to see the results almost immediately. As an added bonus, this machine allows us to reduce the dosage of x-rays by up to 80%, lower than standard machines. With clearer immediate images from our machine you’re less likely to need repeat x-rays.
  • Diagnodent. This modern piece of dental equipment uses a laser light to detect cavities at a very early stage. Diagnodent is proven to be over 90% accurate, as opposed to 60% when using the human eye alone.
  • Ergonomic Chair. Our comfortable dentist’s chair allows you to lie back, relax and receive your treatment in total comfort.

Safety of Our Equipment

The health and safety of our patients is paramount. And this is why we always use disposable equipment wherever possible. For all other equipment we use a pressurized steam sterilizer. This form of sterilization is not only extremely efficient, but quick too. Similar in principle to a pressure cooker, equipment can be sterilized in just three and a half minutes.
